How did Local Unlocked come to be, you ask? Well, it all started with Jon and I just trying to make a dream project a reality. We noticed a gaping hole in the world of business promotional videos - most of them were just plain boring and didn't capture the true essence of the business or its people. So we set out to change that. But when we started filming, we quickly realized that people turn into total robots as soon as a camera is pointed at them. No personality, no authenticity. It was like they had all been replaced by pod people or something. That's when we had the brilliant idea to just tell people to pretend the camera wasn't even there and talk to us like normal humans. And guess what? It worked! Our clients opened up and we were able to capture some truly special moments. That's when Jon said, "Hey, why don't we make this a regular thing? We can interview business owners and create a show that really showcases their unique personalities and businesses, all while visiting some cool local spots and getting to know the community." And that, my friends, is how Local Unlocked came to be.
